 „Még jéjjën el, s kérdëjzën mëg magyar beszédvel!” Egy 1980‒2018 között végzett moldvai néprajzi gyűjtés nyelvészeti hozadéka

A moldvai magyarság körében nyelvcsere zajlik. Ez a folyamat már a 19. század első felében megkezdődött, majd a 20. századi modernizációs folyamatok következtében gyorsult fel, és a század második felében vált visszafordíthatatlanná. Mára a népcsoport mintegy 80%-a elveszítette anyanyelvét, a legrégebbi, középkori eredetű északi és déli nyelvjárás beszélőinek száma ma már csak 6-7 ezer főre tehető, a székelyes jellegű moldvai dialektusoknak pedig mintegy 30-35 ezer beszélője lehet. A nyelvismeret szintje falvanként és generációnként változik. Az előadásban a HUN-REN Nyelvtudományi kutatóközpont által létrehozott nyelvészeti adatbázis jelentőségét a moldvai csángók nyelvcseréjének perspektívájából értékelem.

Just gone fest­iv­alling

The festival season is in full swing, and our team is also joining the summer vacationers: the institution will be closed between July 28 and August 18, 2025.

Busós at the air­port

We are in the middle of the carnival season, and the Busójárás festival in Mohács is fast approaching, which will fill the city in southern Hungary with life for six days at the end of February. This folk custom, which marks the end of winter and the arrival of spring, will appear not only in Mohács this year, but also at the capital's airport.
