Timár, a Mesti

Timár Sándor bő hat évtizedet átívelő munkásságának áttekintése komoly kihívás. Erre vállalkozik most a Hagyományok Háza által bemutatásra kerülő, mozgóképekkel is kiegészített fotókiállítás, amelynek kurátora Sebő Ferenc, Timár Sándor egyik legmeghatározóbb munkatársa.

Virtuális kiállítás

Az életműben a folklorista kutató, a táncművész-koreográfus és a pedagógus Timár Sándor mindig egyként van jelen: a három szál egymást feltételezi és támogatja. A kiállításra kerülő felvételeken ennek a hármas pályának legfőbb állomásai jelennek meg: a SZOT Művészegyüttes táncosa Molnár István keze alatt, a fáradhatatlan gyűjtő, aki Martin Györggyel és a magyar néptánckutatás más nagy egyéniségeivel együtt járja a Kárpát-medence falvait, a Bartók Béla Táncegyüttes alapítója és művészeti vezetője, az Állami Balett Intézet tanára, az Állami Népi Együttes művészeti vezetője, számos magyarországi és külföldi táncegyüttes vendég tanára és koreográfusa, idősebb korában pedig a Csillagszemű Gyermektáncegyüttes koreográfusa.
Egy szóval, ahogy tanítványai és munkatársai szólítják: a Mesti.
 

 

Night of Mu­seums in the Hun­gari­an Her­it­age House

This year, too, the Hungarian Heritage House will open its doors on the Night of Museums. Here, the past will become an experience and tradition will take on new meaning. The Buda Vigadó building will be open for exploration from the attic to the cellar.
 

Folk Mu­sic and Folk Dance Camps in 2026

In the summer of 2026, numerous folk music and folk dance camps will once again welcome participants in the Carpathian Basin and the diaspora. The offerings include camps for children, youth, adults, and families. 

From Game to Mas­tery, 2026

The Hungarian Heritage Houses’ exhibition, titled “From Play to Mastery", presents the works of students who graduated from the 2024-2026 cohorts of the folk crafts vocational training programs.
