Creative Europe Stories 2014-2020 - Successful Hungarian Projects

The Hungarian Heritage House successfully applied for the Creative Europe programme in 2018 as a partner of the Voices of Minorities project. Veronika Kalina, former colleague of the Hungarian Heritage House responsible for international relations met the press in order to share her experiences and talk about the positive impacts of the project on the international connections and partnerships of the institution.

The international music portfolio of the Hungarian Heritage House prominently successfully took part in the Voices of Minorities project. The institution included to the program important representatives of the Moldavian Csángó, Roma, Turkish and South Slavic folk and world music. Several of the portfolio performers were invited by other members of the partnership, moreover the Hungarian Heritage House was also functioning as a host of different concerts. Especially that time, the newly renovated home building of the Hungarian Heritage House gave a good opportunity for the organisers to test the new stage and sound technology, as well as the new spaces.
As a result of the successful project – which was especially popular among young people – the Hungarian Heritage House by now is more opened to engage in
new international collaborations in the future. The full publication, including the interview on the successful application of the Hungarian Heritage House is available online on the Creative Europe Office website in English and Hungarian too.
