A szamár füle

Mikor az Úr az állatokat megteremtette, mindegyiknek megmondta, mi a neve.

- Megértettétek? – kérdezte az Úr. Az állatok bólintottak a fejükkel:

- Megértettük.

- No, holnap ismét jöjjetek vissza, hadd kérdezzek meg valamennyit, hogy nem feledte-e el a nevét.

Másnap az állatok visszamentek. Az Úr kérdezte őket.

- Mi a neved?

- Ló.

- Mi a neved?

- Ökör.

Legvégül maradt a szamár.

- Mi a neved? – kérdezte az Úr.

A szamár nagyot bődült:

- Iá, iá! – de a nevét nem tudta megmondani.

Akkor az Úr szólt Gábor arkangyalnak:

- Gábor, rázd meg jól a fülét, és közben mindig mondjad a nevét, hogy ne felejtse el.

Gábor angyal amúgy magyar módra megfogta a szamár fülét, jó meghúzta, csavargatta, úgyhogy egyszeribe háromakkorára nyútt, mint annakelőtte volt. Közbe folyton kiabálta:

- Szamár! Szamár! Szamár!

Azóta ollyan hosszú a szamár füle.

Night of Mu­seums in the Hun­gari­an Her­it­age House

Just gone fest­iv­alling

The festival season is in full swing, and our team is also joining the summer vacationers: the institution will be closed between July 28 and August 18, 2025.

Busós at the air­port

We are in the middle of the carnival season, and the Busójárás festival in Mohács is fast approaching, which will fill the city in southern Hungary with life for six days at the end of February. This folk custom, which marks the end of winter and the arrival of spring, will appear not only in Mohács this year, but also at the capital's airport.
