A gardonkészítéssel egy szerencsés véletlen folytán ismerkedhettem meg. Találkoztam egy magyarországi gardonkészítő mesterrel, aki valamikor a 90-es években tanulta a mesterséget a tarhavasi (Gyimesbükk) Szőcs "Mojszi" Gábor bácsitól. Mindig is szerettem a fával foglalkozni, de sosem gondoltam volna, hogy népi hangszert is képes leszek egyszer csinálni. Aztán elkészült az első hangszer, és jó hangja lett.

Szeretek gardont készíteni, de sose volt rá elég időm. De jött a karantén, lelassult minden, az élet rendje felvette azt a kiegyensúlyozott ritmust, ami valamikor természetes lehetett a gyimesi tájon. Hirtelen lett időm együtt dolgozni a gyermekeimmel, jöttek és ők is lecsiszoltak egy-egy darab fát, kopogtatták, találgatták, milyen lesz a hangja. Aztán elkészült…

Azért más, mert az alkotás nyugodt medrében folyt a munka, gyermekeim érdeklődő tekintete, vésőnyomai tették még érdekesebbé.

Just gone fest­iv­alling

Night of Mu­seums in the Hun­gari­an Her­it­age House

This year, too, the Hungarian Heritage House will open its doors on the Night of Museums. Here, the past will become an experience and tradition will take on new meaning. The Buda Vigadó building will be open for exploration from the attic to the cellar.
 

Busós at the air­port

We are in the middle of the carnival season, and the Busójárás festival in Mohács is fast approaching, which will fill the city in southern Hungary with life for six days at the end of February. This folk custom, which marks the end of winter and the arrival of spring, will appear not only in Mohács this year, but also at the capital's airport.
