The dancers and musicians of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble will hold a dance-house (táncház) at the Collegium Hungaricum Rome from 6 to 8 p.m. on April 1st 2022.
Founded in 1951, the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble's mission and commitment is to collect, preserve and transmit the folk art traditions of the Hungarian-speaking world as a national treasure. It preserves value and creates value, and operates in the duality of tradition and modernity. Since the establishment of the Hungarian Heritage House, the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble has been fulfilling its mission being part of it. Gábor Mihályi is the director of the ensemble and István Pál "Szalonna" is its artistic director.
