Ördögkat­lan Fest­iv­al (‘Dev­il’s Cauldron’)

In 2022, the Hungarian Heritage House will once again be hosting programs of the összNép (AllPeople) festival. The small Árpád-era settlement of Villánykövesd will provide a worthy backdrop for events chronicling the folk traditions of the Carpathian Basin.

Our programs shall be really enjoyable with the participation of AllPeople, so every day there will be folk dancing, singing, as well as games for children and adults alike. For those who prefer a more in-depth form, we offer craft masters, storytellers and vocal teachers. The all-day program, where folklore is presented in its full blossom, will end with a dance house until dawn in the Blum Cellar. The Hungarian Heritage House shall also organize an exciting program on environmental awareness. Titled “Is it Time? (Megérett?) – A Discussion on Environmental Awareness”, our program shall be presented to the audience at several venues throughout the festival.
