Az alábbi gyűjtést egyik katalogizálónk, Porteleki Zoltán azért választotta, mert ez volt élete első olyan alkalma, amelyben gyűjtőként vett részt Pávai István, Lőrincz Lajos és Vizeli Balázs társaságában. A felvételeken az 1920-as gernyeszegi születésű Gondos „Zsidó” János prímás, és az akkor még csupán 43 éves Ponczi Gyula kontrás muzsikál, a tőlük ismert és megszokott alapossággal. Mint oly sok felvételen, itt is jól megfigyelhető az erdélyi vonós zenére oly jellemző „közjátékok” sokszínűsége, amiket a prímás improvizatív jelleggel variál, használ. Az izgalmas hegedűjátékot szinte tökéletesen követi a kontrakíséret, amelynek apró finomságai itt alaposan megfigyelhetők, hiszen hiányzik a bőgő és a cimbalom. Kettejük játéka igazi kamarazenei élményt nyújt a Felső-Maros menti tánczenét kedvelőknek.
