Does the Hungarian Heritage House host music and dance events?

Does the Hungarian Heritage House host weddings and/or wedding photo shoots?

Only open for photo shoots, subject to prior reservation.

 

Is there a parking option in the area of the Hungarian Heritage House?

Available for a fee in the parking areas of adjacent streets.

 

Does the Hungarian Heritage House host exhibitions?

Yes, subject to prior reservation.

 

How long is the optional reservation period of halls?

Up until any conflict with other events, for a maximum of 30 days.

 

How many reservations of the requested hall(s) can be made at the same time?

You may make two optional reservations at the same time.

 

How is the rental fee calculated?

The price offer shall be calculated as an hourly rate or based upon the event hosted.

 

What are the costs associated with a hall reservation?

Reservation fee, basic technical support costs, intermediary service costs (hostess + cleaning + security services).

 

Does the Hungarian Heritage House host product exhibitions?

Yes.

 

Is filming allowed in the common areas and halls of the Hungarian Heritage House?

Yes.

 

Is it possible to use the cloakroom?

Yes, cloakroom services are provided by hostesses.

 

How can I make a reservation?

The availability of hall reservations in the Budai Vigadó, home to the Hungarian Heritage House, depends on the annual program schedule of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble and the own events of the Hungarian Heritage House. Hall reservations are subject to availability.

Reservations shall be made at least 6 weeks prior to the planned date of the event; we shall not accept reservations requested after this deadline. In order to complete a reservation and receive a confirmation thereof, a written request should be submitted.

Folk Mu­sic and Folk Dance Camps in 2026

In the summer of 2026, numerous folk music and folk dance camps will once again welcome participants in the Carpathian Basin and the diaspora. The offerings include camps for children, youth, adults, and families. 

Night of Mu­seums in the Hun­gari­an Her­it­age House

This year, too, the Hungarian Heritage House will open its doors on the Night of Museums. Here, the past will become an experience and tradition will take on new meaning. The Buda Vigadó building will be open for exploration from the attic to the cellar.
 

From Game to Mas­tery, 2026

The Hungarian Heritage Houses’ exhibition, titled “From Play to Mastery", presents the works of students who graduated from the 2024-2026 cohorts of the folk crafts vocational training programs.
