Born in 1987 in Budapest. He came into contact with Hungarian folk music at the age of six in a family camp. As a result, he became a student at the Czövek Erna Music School in Budakeszi. After graduating from high school, he enrolled at the Nyíregyháza College of Music, majoring in Folk Music, continuing his studies at the Folk Music Department of the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music in 2007. Here, he obtained a degree in performing arts and teaching as well. After graduating, he became a teacher in several art schools. He is currently a member of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble’s orchestra.
Apart from his own band, the Bazseva Band, Nyitrai is also a member of several other formations. He is involved in the work of dance ensembles, as well as in the organization and implementation of dance house and camps in Hungary and abroad. In 2011, he was awarded the Junior Prima Award; in 2012, he was awarded the title of Young Master of Folk Art, and in 2017, he received the Béla Halmos Rolling Award. His work focuses on the authentic interpretation and introduction of Hungarian folk music to the widest possible audience.
