A unique dialogue between fashion and tradition on the stage of the Hungarian Heritage House
How do tradition and contemporary art meet in the world of fashion and theatre? We will find out on the stage of the Hungarian Heritage House through the unique performance "Circling"! This very special fashion show is not only about the display of clothes, but it also brings to life a more profound dialogue between tradition and modernity.
The showcased clothes are not only spectacular but also tell a story – in the form of dance. The dancers and musicians of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble breathe life into the creations of the designer Edit Szűcs and her students. The show, where we can trace the history of fashion from the end of the 19th century to the present day, will focus on relevant issues and re-interpret traditional attires.
The artworks of the Museum of Hungarian Applied Folk Art of the Hungarian Heritage House are also involved in this exciting cooperation, which combines fashion, theatre and folk art in an unprecedented genre experiment. This show is not meant only for fashion lovers but for anyone open to innovation and challenging the boundaries of art.
Seats are taken on a first-come, first-served basis.
