Hungarian dance groups across the border

From the very beginning, the Hungarian Heritage House has seen its mission as hosting the productions of Hungarian dance groups from across the border, and introducing them to the Hungarian public. The invitation of the foreign workshops is apparently received with appreciation by the audience; our series has been very popular for years. Among others, the Hargita Nemzeti Székely Folk Ensemble, the Háromszék Dance Ensemble, the Szabadka Dance Theater, the Bekecs Folk Dance Ensemble and the Young Hearts Dance Theater have performed in the theater of the Vigadó in Buda.

When selecting the invited ensembles, the primary consideration is that they present productions of the newer, modern stage folk dance that are rarely seen in Budapest, and also that we give those who are rarely given the opportunity to perform - either because of the distance or because of their fame.
