The next event in the “theme days” series of the Hungarian Heritage House will feature the diverse and rich traditional folk culture of the Felvidék (Highland) region.
Visitors may choose from activities such as playhouse, dance house, song teaching, craft courses, tasting of traditional folk dishes, etnographic cinema and folk music concerts. The event will also feature a exhibition of photographer Zoltán Gyetvai from Losonc (Lučenec), called “Temët ȧz idő minket” (Buried in Time), as well as the release of the new DVD series from Népmesetár (Folk Tale Vault), a collection of Palócföld folk tales by folk collector Norbert Varga. Children and families may enjoy the concert of Éva Korpás, called Libidaridom, and the evening gala event will offer samples from the music and dance heritage of the Felvidék (Highland) region.
