Navratil Andrea and the FolkKvintett - Daram-daram-madaram

A song cycle based on Hungarian and Bulgarian folk songs for vocals and piano, accompanied by wind and percussion instruments and bass

The evening features two Hungarian composers and musicians, forming a perfect harmony: Dániel Csengery and Szabolcs Mátyássy. Their common aim and hope is to use the diverse tools of today's contemporary classical music world to shed new light on the beauty of original folk songs.
The above piece shall be performed by two exceptionally talented soloists of different genres, Andrea Navratil (folk singer) and Zsuzsanna Grósz (pianist). With the help of their fellow musicians and taking flight with the birds so often referenced in folk songs, they take us on a journey from the Carpathian Basin to Bulgaria. And what connects these two distant places - is love. A love that really does move mountains. It brings joy to our faces, tears to our eyes, smiles to our lips, sparkles to our eyes and depth to our hearts. Their joint concert will feature the most beautiful folk songs of Moldva with a contemporary interpretation and traditional Bulgarian folk songs with piano accompaniment.
