8 women. 8 music academy students. We are brought together from 8 different worlds to share the joy of making music together and to share it with an audience. Our motto is "Music of the Sea".
We strive to show world music in all its colours. We have included folk songs in our repertoire for the first time, without breaking away from our own culture. Then we recorded tangos, musicals, fadoes, chansons and classical jazz pieces based on great examples of world music. All these well-known musical examples are performed polyphonically, using classical instruments. We have brought an important innovation to Turkish interpretation in this field.
Ismen Osman, the artistic master responsible for all the new arrangements. Ismen Osman, who has also created his own works for our group, is the most important person who has shown us new paths on this journey.
Our group was founded in 2005. Founded as the Allegra String Quartet, our ensemble has participated in various concert programmes of the State Opera and Ballet, as well as in its own private concert organisations.
The Allegra Ensemble, consisting of 8 women, has reached its final form and we have given numerous concerts in Turkey and abroad. In each concert, we sought to first convince ourselves and then connect with the audience through the power of sincerity. In light of this information, we will continue to share our music with you.
