14th Folk Dance House Day

Let this day be about folk dance and folk music for the young and the old in Hungary and beyond!  

Central event: 14 Liszt Ferenc Square, Budapest, 2 pm to 6.30 pm

Detailed programme

2 pm to 2.30 pm   Learn traditional folk dances from Bag with Lajos Rónai and Liliána Nemecz-Ézsiás and the dancers of the Bag Muharay Dance Ensemble  
2:35 pm to 2:45 pm    Half a Century in the Dance House - Welcome address by Beáta Lőrincz and Zoltán Varga in representation of the Friends of the Hungarian Heritage House
2.45 pm to 3.25 pm     Learn folk dances from Kalocsa with Zsuzsanna and Norbert Busai. Presentation of folk attires by the leader of the Kalocsa Bokréta Folk Art Association, Krisztina Illésné Koszta and the dancers of the association
3.35 pm to 4.05 pm     Learn South Slavic folk dances with Márta Rodekne Blahó and Ágnes Hudák
4.15 pm to 5 pm     Learn Moldavian folk dances with Eszter Darabos
5 pm to 5.30 pm     Learn traditional folk dances from the Szilágyság with Barbara Baloghné Vatai and István Mosóczi and the dancers of the Kincső Dance Ensemble   
3.30 pm to 6 pm    Learn folk dances from the Rábaköz with Csilla Berta Módosné Almási and Máté Módos 
6 pm to 6.30 pm     Learn traditional folk dances from Visa with Irén Deffend and Péter Galát and the Corvinus Közgáz Folk Dance Ensemble
