György Ág­falvi

Born in 1981 in Miskolc. Alumnus of the Hungarian Dance Academy. He gained his initial stage experience as a member of the Avas Dance Ensemble in Miskolc and the Szinvavölgyi Dance Ensemble. He has served as the artistic director of the Matyó Folk Dance Ensemble in Mezőkövesd and the Zsolca Dance Ensemble in Felsőzsolca for many years. Serving as the artistic director of the János Bihari Dance Ensemble since 2017. In 2002, he became a member of the Hungarian State Folk Ensemble’s dance ensemble and has been appointed as the ensemble’s dance director in 2021. In addition to numerous awards for his performances and choreographies, Ágfalvi was awarded the title of Young Master of Folk Art in 2014 and the Silver Cross of the Hungarian Cross of Merit in 2017. Laureate of the "Eternal Golden Spur (Aranysarkantyús)" Dance Award.
