Magyar népdalgyűjtés 1952–1964

Vikár László a Magyar Tudományos Akadémián a Népzenekutató Csoport megbízásából több mint egy évtizeden keresztül 17 megye 176 falujában 4471 népdalt gyűjtött. Nemcsak a dallamok lejegyzését végezte el, hanem vizsgálta egy-egy közösség teljes zenei életét. A Kárpát-medence egész területén végzett népdalgyűjtéseiről számol be a „Dunán innen, Dunán túl” c. kötetünk, amely a helyszíni feljegyzések alapján mutatja be az 1950-es évek Magyarországát és népzenei hagyományait. Ehhez a kötethez kapcsolódik 54 felvételt tartalmazó válogatásunk, amely reprezentatív mintát nyújt a Vikár-gyűjtötte dallamokból.

A Zenetudományi Intézet Népzenei Archívumában található hanganyag szerkesztését, a felvételek technikai rekonstrukcióját Németh István végezte.

Busós at the air­port

We are in the middle of the carnival season, and the Busójárás festival in Mohács is fast approaching, which will fill the city in southern Hungary with life for six days at the end of February. This folk custom, which marks the end of winter and the arrival of spring, will appear not only in Mohács this year, but also at the capital's airport.
