Vajdaszentivány (Voivodeni) Maros megyében (jud. Mures) a Mezőség keleti szélén, Marosvásárhelytől 18 km-re terül el, a „Felső Maros-mente” egyik jelentős központja. Ez a vidék átmenetet képez a Mezőség és Székelyföld nyugati része (Marosszék) között. Lakossága vegyes: református magyarokból (kb. 400 család), református cigányokból (kb. 150 család) és ortodox románokból (kb. 250 család) tevődik össze.

A bevezető ismerteti a vajdaszentiványi hagyományos táncokat, a zenekarok összetételét, a híres prímások életrajzát és játéktechnikáját, majd következnek táncok szerint csoportosítva a kötet nagy részét kitevő kották. A dallamok gyűjtési adatai és szakirodalmi hivatkozás zárja a kiadványt.

In the summer of 2026, numerous folk music and folk dance camps will once again welcome participants in the Carpathian Basin and the diaspora. The offerings include camps for children, youth, adults, and families. 

Night of Mu­seums in the Hun­gari­an Her­it­age House

This year, too, the Hungarian Heritage House will open its doors on the Night of Museums. Here, the past will become an experience and tradition will take on new meaning. The Buda Vigadó building will be open for exploration from the attic to the cellar.
